smarty question

Save a little on your parts

So it's time to replace the valve body in my 06 48re. I was having trouble taking the turck out of park, thought it was just the cable. I got the extended warrenty when I bought my truck (used) so I took it in. They said the problem is in the valve body, wich currently has a 800 unit backorder. Instead I think I'm going to get an aftermarket one. I did a search on the forums and got some good info, leading me to decide one from DTT. I am in no way a transmission expert but I have fiddled with them a little here and there. What I'm wondering is how or if an aftermarket VB will effect the other components in a otherwise completely stock auto transmition (besides my Hag-Hytec pan). Are there other parts i will need to change to make things more compatible inside or will just replacing the VB be alright untill the rest of the transmission decides to take a dump?

As for the truck itself the only performance mods are a Edge Attitude with juice, open intake, and open exhaust. That's bout as far as I'm going to go with it for a while.

Thanks for any help

Oh, and if it makes any differance I plan to install an exhaust brake before too long. Anything I should do while I'm in there to prepare for that? I understand the importance of a better TC, but the money isnt there right now to go that far.

I opted for the BD valve body and notice a big difference. I adjusted up the valve pressure a bit. Now the shifts are very firm both shifting up and down. Won't snap your neck but hooks up pretty good.
