I work at an S&S Tire in Lexington, KY. I just found out, while checking in our stock order, that Valvoline has introduced a new oil in full synthetic in 5W40. It meets all of Cummins' specs, and, after a phone call to our Apollo Oil Rep, I've been told that it's replacing the Premium Blue 2000 synthetic blend. Does anyone out there know any extra info on this oil ? I've always used the Rotella-T 15W40, but may consider this oil. It comes in 1 gallon containers, and it averages out to $3. 60 per quart. A change in our Turbo Diesels would cost us around $48 to $49 using an OE filter.
