All I hear about is the Edge EZ box. Do they still make the VA?? My truck is a stock with an auto, so I dont want to go overboard. If so, have the prices dropped to be competitve?

You may want to consider staying with the with VA CPC if you are about to buy one. The newer version (don't know what it's called) seems to have a more negative effect on mileage with less horsepower. The truck it went on has an ETC engine. He was running the VA CPC, changed to the new version VA and within two weeks went back to the VA CPC. Something to think about.

The "old" version is in a ribbed box while the "new" version is a smooth box. They had quite a lot of failures on the old. Hopefully, those problems are solved in the new box. The new box does not have the gutsy bottom end that the old one does. I ran the old VA for a long time. Loved it. Switched to the new and took it back off in 30 minutes and sent it back. Tried an EZ for about 5000 miles and now I sell them in my dealership. Most bang for the buck out there IMHO.....

Barry is right. What I meant to say in my post (must have deleted it) was a buddy of mine bought the new one and installed it on the ETC. As Barry said he didn't have the low end and he lost mpg.

I am reading up on the Edge EZ, but see no mention about its effect on the Injector pump. The Van Aaken specifically says that it is injector pump friendly. I dont want to run the risk of toasting my pump.

The EZ also communicates through the Injector pump computer, so it is injector pump "friendly" #ad
. It connects differently though - via a "test plug" vs. connecting to the injector pump wiring harness. That part of it is easier to install than the VA IMO. Then it also connects to the MAP sensor (built-in boost module) and includes an elbow for disabling the wastegate.
