McMaster is great, and their phone app is fantastic. BUT the hot rodder in me says to look for a fuel manifold. They’re usually one in the side, and I’ve seen up to 4 on the out.

Wayne, the fuel one rated near 150psi ?. That is where the air tops in that range.

Dave
Good point Dave. I wouldn’t doubt the casting quality, or the thread fit, so I think I would give it a go. There are a bunch of others there too, some EFI rated.

Ok Mike I’m having a hard time understanding exactly where you installed this compressor. I was highly considering a portable until I saw this thread. Can you describe the location or a picture from farther away.

If you look directly up above the front tire at the left hand inner fender that screw / washer combo goes into this hole.

The compressor is mounted over the left front tire in the space between the beam and fender that is above that inner fender.

The Freightliner pneumatic fan control valve was the making of the deal. It would have been too spastic on straight tank air. Plus the valve relieves when it closes so that should be a lot easier on the Airlift master control valve. No tank pressure against the internal valve that way.

You can hear it open when increased bag pressure is requested. Then you can hear it close when set point is reached.

It took forever to get to 50 lbs before with the anemic little Airlift 5% duty cycle compressor.

Air Tank Prep.......holes in the tank brackets were too close to the lower edge of the frame so had to drill two new ones. 1/2" holes, no big deal. They sent extra grommets with the tank mounting kit so used them in all six holes....

Fittings in, changed the one on the end to a 90 degree after picture was taken....

Not to intervene on your project Mike. I used 2 1 1/2" pieces of angle iron bent in a L shape painted with Eastwood's rust preventative paint attached with bolts to the frame. Then mounted the tank with the feet down and the drain down to hopefully make sure I would get all of the moisture/water that accumulates out of the tank.

Thought about doing that, if I see a lot of moisture when I drain the tank I will have to redo it.

I'm figuring it will not run all that much, just for seats and the Airlift bags at this point.
