FWIW, my understanding is the PW wheels switched from forged to cast with the 2019 model years...the ones pictured could be either.

I believe it was actually changed in 2010, the 05-09 were the only true forged Alcoa wheels but people kept referring to them as forged after 2010+

John, The tire shop sent the rims back to the manufacturer which was local to us here fortunately. One of em was drilled slightly off center. i guess it doesn't take much on a Ferd. Drove me and the dealer nuts till we figured it out. Keep in mind these were aftermarket rims though.

UPDATE, I went by discount tire today and talked with the GM. They do not have any of the "finger Plates" to mount the wheel in the stores here in Waco, so he is going to have one shipped in and we will try that to see if it makes any difference in the balance. He said the machines they have currently all do the road force balance, I just want to rule the lug centric vs. hub centric out of the equation.

I asked a buddy at Ram and they said:
In 2017 there was a choice of the Forged Wheel and the new Rebel style cast wheel.
In 2018 ( same as 2017)
In 2019 only the cast wheel was available

All I know now is I like the "early" PW wheels best:cool:

Your wheels are hub centric.
So balance them bolt centric, I don't know.

But when your wheels are on the machine - check them for high spots.
I had that so often, can't count that anymore. Tires out of round are a real issue.

They can be perfectly balanced but still vibrate going down the road.

I used to have my tires trued on the vehicle by removing rubber til they were perfect.

All FCA factory wheels are hub centric. Many if not most aftermarket wheels are lug centric unless they have spacer shims to make them hub centric.
Do you know the road force numbers they got for each tire?
