Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP 44 Reliability?

Original VP44 went out taken down by failed stock fuel pump. Upgraded to AirDog and it has been fine since then. About 67,000 on present VP.

I have a 99 2500 manual with 167,000 miles on the VP44 and about 100,000 miles on the Air Dog system. So far she runs good. MPG has gone down a bit over the past 30K miles but not much. I do have the Banks Stinger kit and an exhaust brake on it.
