Has anyone ever heard of the return valve (banjo fitting) on the VP44 failing? I just changed my lift pump (Carter 4601HP pump on the frame rail next to the tank) and all of the fuel lines to the VP44 (full 3/8" line all the way with custon fittings). My pressures are still only running about 8psi - and as I drive to work (about 30 miles), it slowly drops about 2psi down to 6psi by the time I get to work. Stock pump was doing the same thing, that's why I changed it.
Only things I can think of are the return valve or low current from the ECM to the pump (not currently using a relay).
