Was out of town when the vp-44 went out. I left the truck at the local near my cottage dealer for them to replace it. I have a vulcan relocate kit on the truck. My questions is that there is now no gasket (banjo washer) at the pump. I cant find the directions from the kit to see if there was one? Also what is the proper torque for that fitting as im rechecking their install.

Mike,

According to the Dodge service manual, the correct torque for the VP44 fuel inlet banjo fitting is 18 Ft. Lbs. (24 Nm).

Yes... a gasket is required on both sides of the banjo fitting at the VP44 fuel inlet.

Best regards,

John L.
