$7.88 for a 2.5 gallon of Supertech DEF in container w/ spout. Says it meets all OEM specs. That beats Blue DEF by $4 a carton. Anybody used it, got anything good or bad to say about it? That price is hard to beat...I am inclined to give it a try.

I've been using Blue DEF in my MB van with no issue. Had the annual service done at the MB dealer last month. On the invoice, they listed a DEF fill with Mercedes AdBlue for $60. Amazing what the dealer charges for such an inexpensive product.

Fluid was only 10 buck, it cost 50 buck for the tech to stand there and pour it in. SNOKING

Been using the SuperTech DEF. No issues. It's probably manufactured by the same company that distributes the Peak branded DEF.

Difference is you have a Peak Blue DEF problem you deal with Peak. Problem with SuperTech DEF and you deal with WM. SNOKING

I have been using Peak Blue from my local NAPA dealer for the last 30,000 miles with no problems. Shop price is about the same as Wally World and his turn over is a lot faster thus fresher product.

If one buys that argument, then one should exclusively use Mopar branded DEF. I'm not sure dealing with either Peak or WM would lead to any kind of satisfactory resolution. That's why I always use my DEF tester before dumping the DEF into my truck.

I have never seen a verifiable case of ISO rated def being bad. Many dealers accuse the def without testing it, then charge the customer for a drain, tank cleaning and refil when all that's truly required is a reflash. Filling from a sealed container seems to be the key.

This is why i will buy from the dealer. Until my warranty is up

The dealer can contminate it and say it was bad def.

(Some) Dealers will just claim you still added DEF. I tell everyone that calls on this to Stand Right there and watch them remove the Tank...after the cover is removed look with pocket flashlight if the DEF is bad it will be cloudy or the urea will separate, If trash is in the tank well SOL.

I have yet to here back that the DEF was bad , I have see/heard contamination in the tank.

Well, i will pay the $10/gallon for Mopar Def. But am not going to pay the $50-$100 for them to put it in. I buy the one with the filler tube so they know i'm not using a dirty funnel.

But i see your point about watching them drop the tank. In fact, don't let the truck out of your sight because it would be easy to drop a salt tablet or gelcap of some kind into the filler.

It has the API cert on it and says it meets all OEM specs.

I've used many types of DEF, including Super Tech, no issues. When I am not using DEF at the pump....it is usually Super Tech.

The other day I was at Auto Zone. They had Peak Blue DEF on sale in the 2.5 Gal. containers. They selling them for $7.50 each. I guess the pallet they were on got damaged. Should have bought a couple of them. They had some sitting on the shelf and they were $14.99 ea. Same exact product.

Buying extra is not a good deal if you are not towing, as it might be 6 months before you need it. I buy a jug with I am at 1/2- full and put the whole box in. WM recycles the box if left in the shopping cart, or at less if I go back to the store later it is gone. SNOKING
