wonder how many feet per gal. he gets with that. ;-) But I guess you don't worry about mundane things like that if you build that truck

Can anyone say "high center of gravity". Could you even get it on a lift? Roof clearance to the STEEL building roof structure?

Ok, you get a flat, now what?

What are you going to use for a jack, a hot air baloon?

Good point, what about the 5. 13 gears and 53" tires. . anyone want to do the math and figure what effective ratio that is on say. . 33's?

You guys are so bad knocking this guy's pride and joy! Hopefully he's not on here reading this.

I think he built that truck because he wanted a truck like that. Just like each of us modifies our's - or leaves them stock. We make our trucks special so they fit our lifestyle. That is because we have a choice.

So what if this guy's truck is taller than yours? Or it only gets 5 mpg? It's his. And I for one think it looks pretty nice. Would I want it? Sure. Would I spend the money to buy or build it? Heck no! I'd rather buy another steam engine. But a lot of people would say I am nuts for wanting a 20 ton steam engine that I'd have to pay to have hauled around.

I'd venture to say my Camaro is slightly more streetable than that King Kong truck. . At least mine does racing very good and with mufflers, I've driven it plenty on the streets (but the eyes do start burning a tad) :{ .
I dunno, burning eyes tells me there is a bunch of CO in the air and if you inhaling that stuff you won't need to worry about your eyes.

His sets there and looks good well while yours goes 1/4 a mile well.

hey. . I just figured his 5. 13's with 53" tires are same as 3. 73's with 38. 5's so it should have a good top speed, imagine driving that at 100+ :--)

I like the truck. It's great it was done. Was it practical? No, neither is a 500HP Diesel.

It seems that with some of the attitudes around here, nothing "new" would ever get done, or invented.

Give the guy a break. Didn't anybody teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all?

I would hate to hang out with the people who are saying that it would flip just driving it, or that it is a useless truck.

You have to appreciate this truck for what it is, and what it is doing, because, it seems to be doing a really good job at doing what it supposed to do.

I agree that "to each his own" and it's not for everybody. Give the guy a break. I'd guess that somebody will see it and feel they HAVE to have it.

Personally, I don't want something tall enough that I need to keep the underside clean.

I agree, he has every right in the world to build that thing. I also have the right to express the fact it is way over the top. A 500 hp is over the top also but much more useful. At least you can fit in a parking stall. ;) Why can't people express their opinions without all this crap. :-{} Relax and express how you feel, but let others express their views too. YOU DON"t HAVE TO AGREE

That is a pretty cool looking truck, but, I bet he isn't really wanting to sell it it just display it. What better way to let people all over the world see your favorite toy.

I noticed that his truck is registered in Georgia, please don't put all of us Georgians in his category. (more money than sense) There is that better?

did you mean 'more money than SENSE?'

I was gonna mention that, but avoided it. Just as I did the fact that your arrogance ooozes. Your Camaro is a money dump and so is this guys truck. I wasted $50,000 a year or more racing winged sprint cars and only have trophies and pictures to show for it ... ... ..... another money dump.

Who are you?

Damn right the Camaro is a money dump. The only thing that consumes more money is my Fountain boat. Dang, all that money could have been used to raise my Dodge 12" and install some 53's

I had more success street racing in the 70's and 80's paying for the car than running it in NHRA events. Trophies are nice, but getting the cash at 3 AM in the morning in some god forbiden area from somebody probably packing heat is priceless.

:D Oo. I kinda like the way he fit military tires off a 10ton truck on a CTD!! There was a truck in the diesel magazine doing the same thing. Ain't it great to be in "AMERICA" THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE. I bet those Iraqi terrorist would poop themselves seeing one of those pulling up with a couple of fifties mounted in the bed!!!! ;) :-laf :-laf

No! They'd be laughing so hard they'd choke on sand after blowing it up and looking at it with all four of them pup's sticking straight up in the air like dead roadkill. :--)
