Concentric, who makes these pumps, has manufacturing facilities in at least 5 countries. As for Cummins 12, that was a poor attempt at dodging the obvious. Time to think before you type.

I think the point is, even the "non-china" Cummins water pump still has some, or all, of its components made in China. That's the norm nowadays.

I did proactively replace my water pump with a post recall pump from Geno's garage as a preventive measure.

I inspected mine this past weekend. Did not have vent hole. No play or bearing issues that could be noticed. It’s a 14 with 70k. Guess I need to look further at fan bearing, tensioner, or idler for my squeal. Just curious why the post recall pump only 50$ versus the others??

Just replace it and quit worrying about it. They will reimburse you if you say it failed.

OK, so that was a bit dramatic!

My point is that I spent over $50k for my truck, FCA issues a recall for a part on that truck, they should have the parts to replace the recalled part and it should be done sooner then later. If I can order a pump from Geno's then availability is not an issue.

I will use only cummins supplied pumps or better yet, I won't use gates pumps any more. I had a gates fail in less than 3 months / 5k miles. Don't really care where it was made.
