Thanks to everyone for chiming in on my pump question. Still, I have to make the decision on which pump to use today. I need to drop by the dealer for some antifreeze(I'm switching my truck from the orange to the green coolant, after a thorough flush) I am going to look at the OEM water pump they have and make my decision. If it has the impeller like the picture Mr. Wilson posted, then I'm going to put that one in. At $267, I'm hoping to get another 93K out of it. I guess I will save my original pump and the one I posted as my back up water pumps.

Here are the others I have. The 4309344 is not for a 5.9 but I wanted to show the composite impeller:

Scott, your contact didn't recognize Cummins OE part#2881804? Neither yourself or Mr. Wilson posted pictures that look like the pump I have. My pump does not have" concentric " stamped on the housing. I'm doing some major work on my truck at the moment and the last thing I want is the water pump to fail prematurely.

Is it in a Cummins box??? You are referring to the replacement one that you purchased??

No Sir, I think I got #%@^%& on the Internet sale. At least I can admit it. I tried contacting them but no answer. I can Rate them on Ebay and that's about it.

Had to refer to your very first post, took a minute for it all to come back to me....from that picture you posted of the new water pump I would say it is NOT a Cummins item. Aftermarket for sure.....

And I can repost the Company. The advertised as GENUINE CUMMINS OEM WATER PUMP,
part#2881804

Evidently not. I have since sent him a pic of the casting numbers. We'll see what he comes up with.

AND, I'm going to say the pump you received is most definitely NOT a Genuine Cummins part. As Mike asked, is it in a Cummins box and does the label look like the one in my pics?

Finally, I purchased a Genuine Cummins water pump, it came in a Cummins Box and has Concentric stamped into it. Pump has the composite impeller. I guess that's what we get from now on. Thanks for steering me straight on Cummins OEM pumps, for the price I paid , I was expecting maybe something made out of titanium or some other precious metal.:-laf Now, off to EBAY to report the company that deceived me with false advertising and won't return my emails or phone calls. Thanks again for the information.

We find Fake products in OE makers boxes all the time, I had to post warnings on the Fake cross tubes available through out N/A.. The Moral degradation in N/A is absolutely out of control. Terms like OE replacements ,factory replacement are twisted up and lead buyers in to thinking that its OE manufactured. We have found that even OE sellers are practicing this disgusting practice, Here's My saying "In God I trust" every human We questioned and every part we track. I'm not saying that every component thats aftermarket is inferior to OE made. Injectors are one of the most misled selling, Part of the reason are legal selling boundaries ,franchise territory mapping and legal agreements made with sellers. So ask questions and if the seller cannot gain your trust move on. Grocery selling is a big sign of fake selling, Offering different makers along side OE manufacturing extreme caution needs to be used.. I have lost count on Buyers sending us injectors they Claim are OE made just to find out they are cross breeds or Imposers needing replacement again. Its so bad TC labels OE Injectors with TC S/Ns, Industrial Injection practices the same thing.
