Water pump?
I doubt it will be no labor if you request a complete coolant change. Not all the coolant comes out when a water pump is replaced????
Both bearings are sealed from the coolant. All you need to do is look at your own reference diagram. You really need to educate yourself before trying to educate others.

There's two bearings, one for coolant, one for grease. If either fails, your pump is going to go bad shortly.

Read your own comment. One bearing for coolant, one for grease. Both bearings are for shaft support. Coolant or grease have nothing to do with the bearings, unless you're going to show us all how to grease the water pump. Erroneous information given to people without previous knowledge is worse than none at all.
Sometimes the truth is ugly. All you need todo is explain calling one bearing for coolant and one for grease. It's a rediculous statement and only confuses the less informed. And it's not the first time you've made demonstrably false statements. It's about time you educated yourself before spreading more ignorance via the internet.
MY comment was related to reusing the dirty coolant drained from the truck during the water pump installation. There is a simple misunderstanding here. When I said cooling side, I was referring to the mechanical rotating seal which isolates the coolant. On the other end is a permanently lubricated grease sealed bearing. You may know more than I do about the T51 recall. I am not capable of educating anyone on the specific design of the water pump, but I’m flattered that you think I have such knowledge.
I’m just an old man looking for friendly conversation. Like all forums, some people sit at their keyboard and make nasty unrelated comments to provoke people. I'm not going to go there.

You flatter yourself. I don't think you have knowledge. That's why I corrected you and said you need to educate yourself before giving erroneous info. I have no more info on the recall than anybody else here, but I do understand how a water pump is built.
Ps. Both bearings are permanently sealed and lubricated. Otherwise they'd need a grease fitting. Better stop digging, the hole is deep enough.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to slow down the videos either. I've seen several of these "productions" and some of the statements are not accurate at all. The uniformed however eat it up like candy. (Or to use the tired "just an old man" excuse; "eat it up like bran"
