I've used Zaino for years, it's great. I even carry most of their products at my LINE-X shop in Fort Worth. You can order it online: www.zainostore.com
as previously mentioned, griots garage best of show wax. its awesome stuff. All of the stuff at griots garage is awesome. I've used their clay bars, their best of show wax, the quick detailer, their interior cleaner, wheel cleaner, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. they also make some excellent polishing compounds.
they sell "kits" that include everything needed. I even have one of their orbital polishers, its nice too.
Now if I could just find time to use the stuff more often... . truck hasnt been washed since May!!!
Being a proffesional detailer I have used about every thing out there. Zanos is crap just fancy marketing nothing special. Malco makes good stuff I use their leather lotion and some of the glazes, compounds. Right now this is my favorite stuff http://www.optimumcarcare.com/products.html
I use the polish to take out the fine stuff especially on dark paints then just leave the residue on and spray the wax and buff it all off at once easy and lasts as long as most carnuba pastes!
Consider your soap first there are three types we use= one for striping the finish cutting tough crud off use this before a wax usually the results dish soap will give you, one for lightly cleaning while perserving the finish-ph neutral- use this one right after a wax, then one with a finish enhancer like the Malco wash and Wax.
Meguiers Gold Class. Starting with a nice soapy bath, followed by a little rub down with a clay bar, then Meguiers Cleaner/Polish, and finally, the Gold Class. Truck looks like a wet mirror and smooth as a newborns butt. For the plastic lenses on the truck I use Meguiers Scratch-X followed by a coat of Gold Class to keep them looking invisible. This takes about 8 hours from start to finish but nothing compares! BTW, I use Nufinish on my Jayco Eagle 298BHS. That white gelcoat will blind you in the sun! It's a beautiful thing running down the Interstate all shiny and stuff
I recently bought the new tech wax 2. 0 and gona give that a run. All in all carnuba waxes are pretty similar. Gona say that plain old Maguire's cleaner wax would be a popular benchmark or your normal well working carnuba wax. I even had a guy give me an expensive jar of a zymol made wax sold especially for z3 bmws made from the purest carnuba plants using only the second leaf because the first was sun damaged and all that blah, Apply only with the clean palm of your hand... No better no worse than any other carnuba wax. Im more interested in polymer synthetic stuff and sealers instead of wax.
Mequiars has always been my personal choice. After I wash the truck I go over it completely with Final Inspection. . They now call it Quick Detailer, then I use the wax.
The Quick detailer also works great to remove bug splats and road tar.
I use Zanio. They are the best products i've found. Everyone is going to have their own opinion depending on their experiences. There are some great web sites that you can research if you want more detailed information about what type of products are available. The best web site i've found is autopia.org It is a world wide professional detailer's site and it's free. They discuss a wide range of products. They will also answer any question you may have about products, application and results.
The Florida sun is tough on paint, and to this day my paint still feels good. I used to wax every couple weeks, haven't needed to since the original application, although it's probably due for another coat
I've been using Malm's for about 20 years. Easy to apply liquid and stands up to the elements quite well. I've had several people tell me they thought my 10 year old VW was a new car.
