Way to go! Hit 500k on my 03 a few months ago, but sold it last month. Still have my 95 though. Which of your 03's was it?

Hit 500 on the dually headed to horse camp to go riding over the 4th. The SRW is in the 140,000 range.

I ordered the dually and picked it up with 14 miles on it and bought the SRW with 120,000 and change, so I'm happier doing it with the DRW.

Sweeeeet! Congratulations, Jeff! I hope I make it there some day, but I've got a LONG way to go. [The EPA will probably outlaw my truck by then].

Your derriere might be sore by now. 83,000 per year, hope you made some money on those miles!! ONe year I drove 125,000 OTR, but that was just one year... ... .

I didn't start hauling until 2005 when I closed my shop, but I had 73,000 on it then. It's grossed me well over a million so far, so all in all I'm happy.

When I look back, the HVAC has been the sore spot

Yeah, I try to stay out of the political forums :-{}

At this point our military may as well go on strike as many rights as we give away daily on the homefront ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... dang this has been a pleasant July so far, lol.

Nothing personal... but I don't ever want to see mine there!!! I'm sitting at 53,000 on the clock at almost exactly 6 years of ownership (7/9/03). So let's see... . It'll take me 70 years to get there. I'm thinking there is a real good chance I won't be here for that (115 years old)! :)

DaveHess, I think I may join you there. just turned over 80k on my 03, I can't envision driving it for 500K

Congrats JH that is something:)

Just wondering if you have had any problems with transmission or differentiial. Never had any problems with either on my 03 which had 530k and was told that was unusual. Also, you noted HVAC problems - I added two cans of freon and no other problems with heat or A/C. Did replace fan clutch once. Replaced all injectors once. Of course, normal items associated with steering and suspension. How about letting us know what you have experienced maintence wise (if its not too painful). Thanks.

I guess I will be deader than anyone by the time I get there. I haven't even broken 40K yet!! I will say though that 2/3 of that 40K have been with an 18K lb. fiver in its back all over western USA. Does that count for anything????

Congrats, you are half way to the Million mark!!!

You should post some more pictures to document the condition of the truck. That is, if you ever get out of it. Possibly, if you have it a maintenance history... . what went wrong, what didn't in 500K!!!! I can only hope to make it to 500K; I do drive ~1K a week so... . in 10 years I will be there.

I'm on the road right now, lol, so this is the only recent pic I have handy.

When I say HVAC has been a sore spot, it's because of the blend doors etc. It's been in the shop more for that than anything. I did lose a compressor at about 450,000.

The drive train was a problem until it went out of warranty and I replaced all of the OEM ujoints with NAPA joints. The transmission, x-fer case and diffs, get fresh fluid every 50-75,000 miles with Syncromesh, Valvoline ATF +4 and Mobile1 and have never been apart. The motor gets Rotalla T at 15-20,000 miles.

I sent the injectors to F1 for tips around 250,000 and Don did some minor repair work at the same time.

I've had 3 clutches put in it due to dried up release bearings. The first clutch I put in it was a NAPA (Brute Force I think), but it was too much clutch for backing smoothly or even leaving a stop on an uphill with a load. I went back to the OE clutches.

The front end has had 3 bearing units replaced, and it has been rebuilt with ball joints and rod ends once.

Other than that, a fan clutch, 2 power steering pumps, an alternator and a water pump has been about it other than tires and brake pads.

The seats, carpet, door hinges, arm rests and even the steering wheel leather have all held up really well.

Way to go Jeff!! I'm almost halfway there, hit 217k this past weekend. You been out here lately? Going to hit 110* this weekend! Might be getting back into hauling something here again, lost the day job yesterday. Apparently, freedom of speech doesn't mean what it used to !!
