Nick, good idea to place an electric fan behind the license plate area of the bumper. Would like to see how you mounted the fan.
Any pictures and what fan do you use?

Michael
I can't remember what the fan was or where I got it. It is old and was on the shelf with the oil cooler that I used for my power steering. I think I got it for the old '75 Ford 250 that I have, for the C-6. When I installed the loose stall converter I couldn't even tow a empty 2 horse trailer without the engine getting hot. I fixed it the easy way and bought a '91 Dodge:)

I don't know yet if it will help but it can't hurt. It is really hidden so I don't think I can get a picture. I will look in a bit.

Here are some pictures, it is a 10" not a 12" like posted. I think a 12 would be better and still fit.

Nick, where is that at? Recently?
Reminds me of the thousands of cattle that died in the Dakotas some years ago during a massive storm.

This picture is at my mothers cabin in the Snowies (SE Wyoming) yesterday. But they are used to it, they get cranky if they have to put the sleds away before the first of April, LOL. You wont find any cattle up there either. Too high of elevation.

Amarillo, Texas yesterday!

I was there. I delivered in Denver at 7:30 in the morning then hauled butt east to keep ahead of the blizzard. I saw the first of many tractor/trailers just south of the OK/TX state line on US287. Even at 8000 pounds the wind was affecting my duelly so I found a shopping mall to hide from the wind for about four hours. Between Dumas and Amarillo (about 45 miles) I counted about a dozen rigs on their sides after the wind had dropped to about 25. There were a bunch south of Amarillo as well.

There is a section of I-25? Through Wheatland, WY WYDOT will shut down truck travel due to winds. Happens on a fairly regular basis.

Yes, just a day or two ago. In Kyle, South Dakota. Yes, I remember that storm a few years ago in western Dakotas. Then the storm more recently in East New Mexico and West Texas that killed all the dairy herds. Not counting all the floods and tornadoes/hurricanes in the south east.

Yes, it gets bad there. About 10-12 years ago we were headed to Montana with my '01 and the wind was so bad there, when you rolled the window down it would pull the glass out of line and you couldn't roll it back up:eek:

Took a picture of my gauges. I was a little early to the job site so I had to wait a bit for the crew. After about 15 minutes of idling, heater on low and 50* out, all numbers were stable. Note the pre and post turbo EGT temps were the same, transmission at 140 and ECT is with a 180 t-stat. Never mind the dust on the dash, this is a work truck:) Guess what the paper plate is for....

This is my son's trans that became my project too. Basically a pile of bad parts. Was a, "dad told me this would happen, dad you're right", teaching moment. Awaiting parts. Gotta get it done and out of the shop. Spring is here and camping soon. Time for a sleeve seal rear main and clutch also.yuk!
