I am looking at buying Weld Stonecrushers for my 01. 5 I emailed the manufacturer to find the weight of each wheel, they said about 20lbs. Seems light to me, does this sound right. I wonder what the factory alloys weigh? When I removed the factory alloys they feel like they weighed about 70lbs or more with the tires.

I don't want to add weight to the truck, I want to loose it. Every little bit helps in the quarter. What do you guys think?

According to what Rickson told me OEM tire/wheel combo is about 80lbs with 265s, the Rickson steels are 120lbs with 245/70/19. 5, and their aluminum wheel with same tire size is about 100.

I don't know about your wheel weights, but there is a huge, huge difference between my stock steel dually wheels and the Alcoa aluminum wheels. The truck accelerates and feels lighter with them on and when it comes time for winter wheels, there is a huge difference when handling them.

I weighed mine last time I changed tires around...

... . yeah, so maybe I need a hobby. ;)

Anyway, the 16" factory alloys were 20 lbs. each

76 lbs. with the worn 305/70 Nittos

82 lbs. with the worn 285/75 swampers (still a lotta rubber on them tires)

Well from the info you guys supplied it seems like the only thing I will get from Welds or any other after market wheel will be good looks. Maybe the biggest weight savings could be in the tires.
