Westach combo guage

[Slow Six]

I am getting abnormal boost readings The readings are lower than they used to be and it will only reach a max reading of 20 to 22 lbs. I used to reach 38 lbs. I am suspecting the guage as the turbo sounds the same as before and EGTs are staying the same. The boost line to the guage is clear and not kinked. Has anyone had a problem with this guage? Any other ideas?

If in question send it to them and have them re-calibrate it. I had mine done a couple years ago, turn around was about 7 days. pluse I requested a new lite bulb, this little jewel is only avalable from them cause it is made for this gauge. Call them for cost, you pay shipping both ways.

I've been running my Westach dual combo boost/EGT gauge since 2001 - no problems here.

My boost goes to 60 psi, Hangs up around 40 , and sometimes sticks at 0, and gives erratic readings in general, this is only an occasional occurance,,

I believe the problem is Noise being generated by a switch that I use to power a Truck Camper componet, I have installed a large filter capacitor accross
the suspect switch, Have not had enough time to verify the fix,
But so far, seems ok...

I suspect the switch ( powers a relay) is causing a voltage spike
on the acc fuse buss...

My boost hose blew off the back of the gauge. Pressures had not been iritic. I was pulling a 3 axel 16,500# trailer when it happened. I just kinked the hose under the hood to get home and avoid the nose and exhaust gas escaping into the cab.
