I just installed my new Westin wheel to wheel S. S. /chrome nerfs. It was an easy, painless install that utilized the forward cab and box mounts. One thing I noticed while installing was that there was a small amount of water that ran out when I removed the two cab/bed mounting bolts. Considering that there hasn't been any rain for a couple of months around here, I was a little surprised. Might be worthwhile to check this area every couple of years to make sure there's no rust or corrosion in the mount area.

I wouldn't have installed any bars or steps if I was the only one involved as I'm 6' 3" but my wife is 5' 1" and has had knee surgery. She's such a sweetheart. She never said a thing about me purchasing this truck The least I could do was make getting in and out easy for her. The nerfs made her really happy and when she's happy, I'm happy. I do like the extended step to the rear as it makes accessing the front of the box and washing the rear window possible. The way the bars fit will lessen the gravel chips on the rocker panel to some extent.

Because of my wife's surgery, I was able to use Dodge's "Automobility Program". They will pick up $400. 00 of the $ 480. 00 cost. Hard to beat that deal.

I purchased the bars from AZ.com. Very good service and a good price.

I'll try to attach a photo from my reader's rig page.

Where do I find out about the automobility program? My wife also has had knee surgery and I will be putting on step bars when the new truck arrives. I have Westins on my old truck and have been very happy with them. I like the looks of the wheel to wheel bars. Thanks.

You can get the form from a dealer or download a form from the Dodge web site which is what I did. The form has to be signed by a dealer and you'll need a note from a doctor on his letter head.

All the info you'll need is on the Dodge web site.
