Changing only oil filter. But oil test will be delayed

ditched the twins, went super phat!

first oil change

For my first oil change, I used Delo 400, and a Hastings filter. Is Hastings a good one to use? They're good for gasssers, but haven't heard the TDR opinion. Didn't see anybody mention them, the parts place tried to sell me a Fram instead of a Wix - said they were out of Wix and couldn't order more until they sold the Frams - I said thanks, but no thanks - I'd heard too much about the fram - he seemed to understand.

From what I understand Hastings is a quality filter. I remember reading a thread a while back where there were quite a few members running Hastings.

Does anyone have experience using the FS 19519 fuel filter with the PrimeLock fuel filter relocation kit on '94 - '98 trucks? Does it fit; does it remove the giant PITA factor of trying to get the 19519 squeezed into the stock location at the expense of the skin on your knucles and arms? :D

I have seen the Prime Loc kits, they are great, the filter will be right up by the master cylinder. Simple to change and it has ports for a filter minder.

I use Amsoil 15W40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine oil in my engine along with the SDF80 (Super Duty Filter) oil filter.

I have used WIX filters and Rotella 15-40 after I read the report on Fram filters. TDR has been a great help in providing information on all types of oil and filters.

I didn't realize until today that the LF3935 is a 24v oil filter. That's just what the dealer has been giving me. I totaled up all of the responses and it looks like the LF3894 is by far the most popular with the Mopar/other Fleetguards in 2nd. I am suprised that so few people run the Premium Blue/PB 2000.

I'm due for another oil change and I think I'll switch over to the LF3894 (assuming there is no problem running this in an old 12v) and Delo (can't afford Amsoil right now).

Dello 400 15W-40 and Fleetguard LF3894 change every about 3,750 woth curently almost 17. 000 on truck moslty freeway and a little towing.

Mystic and Hastings

Used to run John Deere 15w-40. Switched to Mystic JT-8 15w-40 which i think is better, but haven't seen anyone running this.

I have always ran Hastings Filters which I have only saw one person post that they are running a Hastings.

Should I worry about either of these?

I used Delo 400 15W-40 and MoPar filters in my '96. I racked up 145,000 on it before I sold it and bought a '01 HO 6 speed. I changed oil at 150 miles and started the HO on Delo 400 15W-40 and Fleetguard LF3894. Due for a change right now with 3,700 on it.

I have been using Rotella T 15-40 and a Mobil 1 oil filter 70,000 miles w/changes at 5000 miles and have only seen 1 other person using them, and sense my last change Ive noticed a change in quailty. The gasket is thinner and drain holes are smaller and they are now painted GREY rather than WHITE.

Think I'll change over to the FS 3894 too. I would also like to change over to Amsoil
