Soon to be unemployed. A large corporation bought the company that I work for 9 months ago. They told us that we all had jobs, were secure, wouldn't be relocated..... Blah, blah, blah. Then they came in 3 weeks ago and told us that they were shutting us down! Well, currently I'm the manager of machine design and CAD systems.

If any of you know of any openings, please email.

Right now, I am uncontracted Software Engineer. Been looking for a new contract since the 1st of Oct when the company I had a 6month contract with terminated all contractors and half thier employees. Had been contracting with them for a year and a half until that point. I write code in VB, C++, SQL, etc. Have worked on alot of projects, but most famous one was for a signal processing company that makes CD/DVD mastering systems. 80% of the worlds CD/DVD's are made on the software I helped write. Currently looking for a new contract between Oklahoma and the Atlantic Ocean.

Here's the most "public" subset of devices I've designed, some of which you may have used or may be using in the future:

Electronic House Arrest System -- Hopefully, you're not using one of these as a "client".

In-Home Blood Alcohol Tester -- Or one of these either.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System -- What with the Ford/Firestone fiasco, you may be using one of my designs in your future new vehicle.

Cow Temperature Monitoring System -- Coming to your milking barn soon!

Foreman (Lead) for maintenance crew that maintains Overhead Conveyance equipment (Bridge Cranes, etc. . ) and Plant Electrical/Mechanical Systems at a well know commercial aircraft company in the Seattle area...

A Systems/Software engineer for Honeywell designing and developing Flight Management Computers for the Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Previously, worked on the Joint STARS command station that rides on the back of a HUMVEE. A great system that identifies any moving target on the ground. First used in Desert Storm and is currently deployed in Afganistan. Prior to that I worked on the Apache Helicopter designing the avionics for an upgraded version. Eighteen years total. But, I would rather stay home and work on the Cummins (bombing), training the horses, and playing with my kids (5yr old girs, 3 and 1 yr old boys).

Later,

Tim
