We all know that the Prez. drives a SuperDuty (he WAS a 'C' student). I was wondering if any other celebrities were on this board. Roger, you count too.

Just found this thread.....

I'm the Chief Engineer for 2 FM broadcast radio stations. My job is to keep the stations up on the air, and legal within FCC rules. Unfortunately, about 80% of the job is computer/network related, with only the remaining 20% RF related. But I do get to go "offroading" up Cheyenne Mtn. about once a week to check on the transmitters!

Was happily trained as an Outboard and Sterndrive Tech. Then i decided to move up to the big boys. Got TRained to work on Volvo Penta and Yanmar Diesels. Unfortunatly there is not enough work on this small island to keep me busy fulltime. So went back to work with old mom and dad testing peoples hearing. Whatever pays the bills huh? ALoha

Ya'll have sucked another one in. Been eavesdropping for awhile, awesome and informative site. Now for what I do, I guess I would catergorize myself as a glorified babysitter with a gun. I'm a police officer for a school district. Everyone keep up the great work around here.

Wow what a group we have... . it appears that I have one of those jobs that no one else has... .

I am a Measurments While Drilling and Logging While Drilling Engineer for a large oil field service company.

What that means in english it that I run tools in oil wells while they are being drilled, and tell them where they are going and what they are drilling in. Most of my work is indoors and on the computer systems. Good job, but I am away from home (and my truck) 50% of the year or more.

After high school I lasted a whole semester in college. Never did like school. About a half year later I started working for an electrical contractor as an apprentice. That was a little over 4 years ago. I have to go to apprentice school one night a week for 5 years (3 1/2 years completed). Still don't like school. Our contractor mainly does industrial jobs (a lot of water treatment and waste water (poo) plants). I'm only 23, so I can't say I'm going to do this forever, but I'm happy right now.
