My wife likes the look and seats of the 2nd gen trucks. I too like the seats and interior better in the older version. I suppose the quieter engine is fine for many, but I like the clatter of a 12V. The hoursepower and touqre of the 600 is very impressive for a stock truck, and is just the ticket for the guy's that leave them stock or those that have warranty shock. For me, the 12V is and has been capabile of much more power then that of a 600, so the power issue is not an issue. I bought a Cummins because of it's reputation for power full and long lasting diesel engines, it just so happened that Dodge was the only source. I also intended on getting my money's worth, that means I bought this truck to keep for awhile. I cannot see why so many have to run to the nearest deal every time a new or different model comes out? I recon it's just fine for Dodge and the guy looking for a bargain? I can't see throwing your money away like that, don't get me wrong, It's your cash not mine, and I like to spend some myself... . just like seeing where it went and for what. I'll keep this truck till it rots, or I die first. Looks, seating and all the other subjective areas aside, the best part about my 2nd gen truck is it's PAID FOR.
