Wayne, the Charmaster is HUGE, with a rated displacement of 137,000 btu's. More importantly, the firebox will hold a 30" stick and I never refuel more than twice a day, every 12 hrs. or so. It will hold almost a wheel barrel of wood with one loading. It's strickly a cold weather stove, I use a smaller freestanding Lopi Liberty for the spring and fall heat. Here's the link to Charmaster... .

I had mine shipped via truck, cost about $250 for the ride to NJ from MN, well worth it. I bought the furnace in 1995 and have zero complaints. I have it set up in the unfinished portion of the basement, no duct work, as I have HWBB heat, just a plenum. The heat rises naturally from the basement to the main and 2nd floor of the house keeping us real toasty on any winter morning, though the basement does get hot during the height of each burn cycle, small price to pay IMHO. I was just checking their site and see that they are now making a boiler, which would be even better if you already have hot water baseboard heat. The Charmaster is like the Cummins Diesel, built to work hard and last, check 'em out.
