Causes of transmission failure?

Okay, the way I see it I already have more ponies than the stock TC/transmission can put to the ground. My question is how big of a help is upgrading the TC and changing the valve body. Will just doing these two things let me run my juice on level 5 without breaking the trans or will I have to replace it with a built transmission. I don't really understand how the valve body makes a difference? If I purchase a upgrade TC I want to buy one that will work with a built/stronger trans that I plan to purchase in the future just not right now$$$$. Thanks in advance for any info.

You need the VB also and if you've been busting hard in 4 or 5 then you need more. The Juice will feel a lot stronger when the power gets to the ground. ;)

by increasing line pressure. it also will allow lock up of tc in 1 gear.

The VB won't allow you lockup in 1st gear. But the Commander does and much more. The Commander will lock up in each gear with the ATS VB. Also a feature I like is that you can let your truck warm up and idle in Park for an extended period and get fluid cooling circulation. That doesn't happen in the stock form. :D

the stock vb and commander = No lockup in first, the vb won't support it.

Roberyoke,

That's why I said the ATS VB and Commander. I didn't say anything about using it with a stock VB. FYI
