Hey was just wondering what The OD is on the 2014 Ram 3500 exhaust? I want to get a chrome tip for mine. They have changed the size over the years not around one to measure it, And I want this for fathers day. Thanks

Thanks for the info I can get a tip for fathers day that way. Gotta dress it up a little or a lot depending on my money.

That was one of the first things my wife noticed about our new truck... it seriously needed a chrome exhaust tip.

Love that girl! :)

What tip are you all going with? and when you install it I assume you will need to cut the factory exhaust pipe back so the chrome tip does not stick way out?

Don't know if I will have to cut or not I'll see when I get it. It's # t5049

I went with THIS ONE purchased from Extreme Diesel Performance.

I cut ours back to make installation easier, but you MAY be able to work a new chrome tip over the existing tailpipe... although it might be very difficult depending on the fit. Not only that, but if you decide you don't like it, getting it off could be even more difficult.

I wanted our new chrome tip to be in the same location as the original factory tailpipe and I also didn't want to be able to see the original tailpipe inside the new chrome tip, so cutting the tailpipe back was essential. I used an inexpensive reciprocating saw to cut off the tailpipe, cleaned the cut with a file, then tapped the new chrome tip in place with a plastic dead blow hammer.

Mine is MBRP from Geno's with the end angled. I had to beat it on with a sledge and block of wood. I aligned the end of the factory pipe with the inside of the angled tip.

On my Dad's 12 we had to cut his exhaust back then beat it off.
