2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Whats the difference? Steering box in 99 & 06

I have a 99 quad cab, and an 06 mega cab. Seems like the mega cab is much more sensitive on the steering than the 99. The 99 seems like it takes more effort to turn, than the 06. Nothing is wrong with the 99, just have been driving the mega cab a bit more in the last couple of weeks, and noticed that it's more sensitive. Is it a smaller turning box (like a 3 turn as opposed to a 3. 5 or 4 turn)?
