Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Best Injectors?

My truck is set at 16' and I live at 6000 feet. Some have set their trucks higher than that at much lower elevations.

My question what is the absolute best timing setting for my elevation?

Thanks,

Injection Timing

You should be good at 16*. That's what mine is set to. You can go higher but at the risk of blowing a stock head gasket in the long run. If you have o-ringed your head and/or have a thicker head gasket you can safely go a little higher:D

timing

what is the stock timing? my truck has a problem and i don't know what to work on next - (see Bucking Problem under 2nd gen 12valve)

Just about 20* here.

16 - 16. 5* is what Piers recomends.

16. 5* with a 3K GSK, and 60# Valve springs will pull real nice into the higher RPM.

Indurbin, Did you see an MPG increase when you changed the timing. I think that my timing has slipped back a little or my stock injectors are worn out.
