What's the worst dream you ever had?

Worst thing in my eye was a one inch fencing staple. Was climbing a fence by the post pulling myself up by the top strand and damned if that thing didn't pop out flip around and go straight into my right eye. Stood there for second wondering what the @#!% and then pulled it out. Went to the hospital was there for 2 weeks with patches over both eyes. Eye surgery isnt what it is today in the late 60's. Then just a couple years ago the cataracts from that accident were getting so bad I had to have cataract surgery. Surgery went great a few days later at work I got a headache that was getting so bad I had to leave work It just kept getting worse and was barely able to drive myself home. Laid in bed with my hands on my head, couldn't even keep down water. Wife got home called the eye doctor he said come in in the morning and called in a prescription to help(which didn't) Get to the doctor normal eye pressure is in the mid teens mine was 64. That is probably the worse pain I have ever had. Damn doctor literally poked my eye with a needle. Instant relief. Fluid just started squirting out running down the side of my face. First time I ever heard that a sharp stick in the eye wa a good thing.

Dang Barry, that hurts just thinking about it.

My worst thing so far (hopefully forever!!) is a piece of rust. It happened on a thursday and didn't hurt too bad on friday so I just figgured that I had scratched my eye. Well that next monday was a holiday and let me tell you that I was the *very first* person in the eye doctors' office on tuesday morning. By then I really was doubting the sanity of the decision to "tough it out" and not "waste" all that money on an emergency room visit over the weekend. Doc used a device that quite alarmingly looked like a dentist drill (sounded similar too!) and somehow grabbed the rust out of my eye. I don't even want to try and imagine what some of the things yall have gone through must have hurt like.

I had an amoeba set up camp on my eyeballs! I went water skiing and forgot to take off my glasses. DOH! no big deal I had contacts in the car. I put them on to drive home and left them in my eyes for a few days they started to itch then it really HURT took 2 week and 3 doctors to finally figure it out and another couple of weeks to lessen the pain. I still tear at the slightest wind. (everybody thinks I am real sensitive) and I have a white stain on my eyeball where the little buggers ate the most. By far the most pain I have ever felt.

i was getting rid of my 86 dodge and getting a 90 dodge. well new one didnt have a skid plate and was taking off the one on 86 . needed the sawzall because one bolt didnt want to come off. well got a sliver in my eye. didnt know it till the next day. went to dr and they got the metal out but wasnt done . yes they got out the dremel tool . boy that goes right threw you. well now i wear some type of safety on the eyes for eveything i do now . you learn quickly after wearing a patch for one day. next one could be for LIFE!!

Gas in my eyes when I was five or six years old. Probably the worst I have heard was my dad was playing with his jack knife when he was a kid and it slipped out of his hands and stuck him in the eye. He had a nice scar on his eye and could still see out of it. He never did say how painful it was.

Muriatic Acid!!

Was filling a 20 gal containment unit and had a 31% hydrochloric solution splat go underneath my shield and twink! right in the tear duct side of the eye. My Gawd pain at it's finest! I had flushed with a saleen neutralizer for what seemed like 4 hours and finaly the pain lessened. Doc said that if I hadn't started flushing for another minute the concequences could have been a thousand fold greater as the solution could have spread under the lid and rolled down the back of the eye litterally melting it!

I once had a 1986 Kenworth hit me in the eye. Also had a torch put up to my eye, sinched the eyebrow off of that eye. Other than that just the regular ol stuff; fists, bats, 2x4's, and a few boots, and a horses hoof. And lets not forget that little piece of sawdust. it cut my eye and hurt like heck for a week or so. I still feel that little piece of sawdust. If there is a lesson from all this is to always wear safety googles when working around a saw.

A bird. Riding a motorcycle and it came around the back of an oncoming truck/trailer, riding the draft. Hit me full in the right eye. Didn't crash, no broken bones, swelled shut for a couple days tho.
