Worst thing in my eye was a one inch fencing staple. Was climbing a fence by the post pulling myself up by the top strand and damned if that thing didn't pop out flip around and go straight into my right eye. Stood there for second wondering what the @#!% and then pulled it out. Went to the hospital was there for 2 weeks with patches over both eyes. Eye surgery isnt what it is today in the late 60's. Then just a couple years ago the cataracts from that accident were getting so bad I had to have cataract surgery. Surgery went great a few days later at work I got a headache that was getting so bad I had to leave work It just kept getting worse and was barely able to drive myself home. Laid in bed with my hands on my head, couldn't even keep down water. Wife got home called the eye doctor he said come in in the morning and called in a prescription to help(which didn't) Get to the doctor normal eye pressure is in the mid teens mine was 64. That is probably the worse pain I have ever had. Damn doctor literally poked my eye with a needle. Instant relief. Fluid just started squirting out running down the side of my face. First time I ever heard that a sharp stick in the eye wa a good thing.
