2 piece, the bottom comes off and something laid over the bottom and then the top is set into the bottom.

OD (my guess about 3" X 8") and height might be helpful.

That one is about 2" across the bottom and the top is slightly smaller as you can see. The top on this one is about 6" tall but can be just about any length.
