I'm a big fan of the wheel to wheel steps that I had on my 2018, but I'm having issues finding something for the 2022.

I have a set of the Westin HDX Drop Step wheel to wheel steps ready to install but after getting them I heard they aren't compatible with the 50 gallon tank, thou I can't see why yet (Will look more soon). Anyone have them both installed??

What are some other wheel to wheel options? I can only find them for the short bed trucks, which doesn't do me any good.

@AH64ID, Would that be because of where the bolts would go through the frame at the tank location? I'm wondering if you would be able to use a fastener that would go from tank side of frame towards the steps? All depends on the amount of clearance there is between the tank and frame. A carriage bolt would be the best option with rounded head, but holding it while tightening it would prove difficult to do. Also, would the be a way to get a fastener inserted into frame? Good luck and glad your getting to know your new ride!

Did you check the Mopar Accessories Catalog I linked in the C&C thread?
Or do you want aftermarket?

I hung the bed mounted bracket up last night and it interferes with the DEF tank plumbing from the fill port. It must be routed different with the 50 gallon tank.

I would prefer OEM, so I'll see what I can find with that.

Thanks

It will make sense after you study it a bit..

Yeah it's not the easiest thing right away.

I'm not seeing any wheel to wheel steps for an 8' bed, of any year.. to include the Mopar wheel to wheel steps I had on my 18.

Checked that out and it says 2WD only, which doesn't make sense to me as it is fixed to the body.

John, that 2022 SRW 4X4 LB Laramie Longhorn with 50 gallon tank has OEM wheel to wheel factory steps, but they are stainless steel. Thankfully, I steered off it. Really like my 17 5500 and it's pretty unique with all the chrome and stainless steel. A while back I built a black Tradesman, but at that time only shiney steps offered. Haven't checked in a while.

I'm sure you can get mounts fab'd and powder coated for your steps. Probably just ahead of the curve here so far for them.

This place is next to our shop, there are tons of places that can make you what you need.

They have been around a very long time and they have a very cool shop and overall business.

I see the 2wd thing using the part number in a web search, but where Mopar does not mention it in the Catalog I would not be concerned.
This will mount just like mine only with one more support per side. Holes are there.

There are the directions that will come with them.

2WD is odd, but doesn’t make sense. It would be nice to see how long they are based on seeing lots of the wrong steps on long beds, plus I would have to have them painted or bedlined black.

Black wheel to wheel was a non-selectable option in December and now it appears to be completely gone. Wonder why.

Were they full wheel to wheel or SWB steps on a LWB truck?

Dads 22 came from the factory with “wheel to wheel” steps but they were the short bed version on his long bed. The dealership said on the longbeds are getting the short bed version and they didn’t know why.
