Is there an after market supplier of wheels and/or wheel covers and hub caps for my '99 3500? I had a blowout on the right front which required me running for a ways to get off I-15's truck traffic path and it did a number on the wheel rim. I lost the wheel cover and hub cap as well. I know that Dodge wants $50+ for just the plastic cap... heaven only knows what they would hit me for the lot. :--)

Welllll..... since no one seemed to know of an after market supplier for wheels and trim... . I went to the local Dodge parts counter and came away with a bill for the wheel trim and hub cap for my '99 3500 front axle... ... . $267. 47!! The hub car of plastic was $66 by itself. If DC charges that for a truck's parts... what would a Mercedes do to your wallet?

If I would have seen this thread I would have told you to stay as far from the dealership as possible. You need a 5 gallon tub of vaseline after that one. I had the same problem except on a back dually rim and told them to shove it. Took all the rest of the chrome covers off and now have cool looking black wheels. It looks tough and makes the truck stick out. Oh well, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Aaron, I seriously considered stripping the chrome and will likely do that should I lose another set. I hadn't the thought of black but that sounds like good shot. I would have told them to shove it also except I feared an "entertainment" fee.
