I always liked the story of the guy who u-bolted a jato bottle off of a a3d to the roof of station wagon and lit it off out in the desert somewhere, I wonder how long that thing was lit before he realized what a bad idea that was?

That is a story like the "Ford owns Cummins" story. That never happened and it just will not die. I heard that story back in 77 when I joined the Air Force.

Interesting site, I'd heard that story from pax river to china lake, but i'd never question the "aquirement" of it , bigger things than a jato bottle have gone over the fence.
