Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) where is my axle disconnect?

I was changing my oil in my new truck for the first time and looked at my front axle the disconnect was missing thought that maybe dc really screwed up so i checked the back not there either



when did they stop using them? and why wasn't there a party?Oo.

that was one of the first things I noticed on my truck. I had a 01 1500 Off Road before this and it had one.



I was told that on the 2500s Dodge removed them sometime in 99. .

My '01. 5 still has it. But my '97 Jeep Cherokee doesn't. (My 8& 87 did)

gone in 2002 but only in some trucks from what i have heard. My 2001 with rear discs (2001. 5 as described on the forums) has the disconnect.

Correct. My '02 (built 08/01) still has the CAD. A neighbors with a build date of early 2002 does not have the CAD.
