What Battery do Y'all recommend?

Delorme Map'N'Go 7.0?

Im going to place an order for the Prodigy. Wanted to know if thare was a place I could mount it so that it looked factory installed. I owen a 98 5spd truck. And do I need to buy the extra mount deal thay sell as an extra.

I have mine mounted on the knee bolster (?) to right of the steering wheel. Do not mount it on the left as you will hit it with your knee when you get out of the truck. I don't think you have to have the pocket mount, I have it and like it. I think you will like the Prodigy.

I have mine on the left and have never hit it; I had the Tekonsha Voyager in the same place in my '98, and never hit it, either. Of course, I have long legs, and keep my seat all the way back--if you keep the seat closer to the dash, I'm sure that would make a difference.

The small display on the right side is for the tire telemetry system (SmarTire).

I have short legs and hit the Voyager regularly on my 98. If I had adjustable pedals that would have solved the problem. It was a pain in the leg when I hit it and a pain to re-level the controler every time I used it. Leveling is not a problem with the Prodigy, so if you have long legs or adjustable pedals you are all set with the left side;) .

The Prodigy comes with both the pocket mount and the bracket mount. Be sure to get the Dodge specific wiring pigtail. It makes hookup a snap. If you want to be able to change it from one vehicle to another an extra pocket mount is handy. You will enjoy towing with this controller, it works great!:)

I put mine IN the ashtray. I didn't even have to remove it. Perfect angle, easy to access. It's the perfect place if you don't smoke. Oo.

Just wondering if it's OK to leave the Prodigy plugged in when you don't have a trailer attached?

I have had no problem leaving the unit plugged into the truck all the time, just like any other trailer brake. I do unplug the trailer from the truck (to prevent possible battery drain) when I leave the truck hitched up overnight for a fast getaway in the morning.
