Since my hood pad is in very bad shape, I would like to R/R it and all the clips. I have been trying to located a new "PAD Hood Silencer", hood insulation or whatever mopar calls them. Any one have a part number and/or online site that actually lists them with a picture/drawing?
Thanks!

Same as GAmes. No noticeable difference. Hood hasn't started peeling paint either from excess heat and been several years.

Save your money if you want. I removed the hood padding on my 2005 6 years ago due to a mouse nesting underneath…no more noise in cab and no paint peeling or blistering…these engines run too cool for that.

Mine blistered shortly after removing it. I had the hood painted some time ago, so it could just be due to poor quality paint.

Here's a pic maybe you can see it

Ya that's the lmc one I'm not sure how it attaches to the hood if you are interested I'm sure if you contacted them they would be able to tell you

I ordered a OEM hood pad yesterday from dealer, $95.45 + tax & no shipping costs. Clips at dealer were $4.50 each x 15, gave that a pass. Same OEM clips on EBay for $1.25 each with free shipping. Just waiting for all the parts to show up so I can check this project off the list.

Hey crabman, let me know if the new liner looks the same as your old liner. I'm curious as to whether the liner is still made of the same material.

Thanks,
Bill

Do you have a Part Number? Mine was removed by the PO. Clips are still in the hood. Thanks. Jonathan

Anyone know how the factory clips remove from the sheet metal without breaking ?. What kind of clip is it ?, Picture ?. The mat on mine has pulled thru on one of the clips and I really would like to not break it if possible and have a piece of plastic rattling around in the sheet metal.

Mine has these. The design doesn't look like they are going to be removed easily with the pad still there unless I can reach something in that hole to pry that dog leg back.
