Who has the best price and location of the B1 turbo,I haven't found a vendor on the web,I must be over looking something.

Kurt is THE supplier of the B1. all others get it from him.



:mad: CC. . get a life. the small housing does not decrease egts that much. It makes HP and spools fast. a 14-16 cm housing spools slower but drops egts 400*+ on a PROPERLY tuned truck.



#@$%!How can you expect a 100k rpm precision instrument to function on your beast with FOB damage.



Just quit before you get further behind and save us all the pain. You have a real bad habbit of slamming all vendors and sucking up later#@$%!



BTW I run stupid big injectors and don't see egt's over 1150* while cruising at 110+mph.

I did smore tuning today, sliding the plate (yes, I have one now) around. I slid it all the way back and it runs like O... ... M... ... G!!!!! It hit 1400 degrees at 115 mph, and got a bit scared at the rate traffic was coming up, but I could not peg the pyro any more. My truck couldn't be running any better imo. (accept for MORE power :eek: :D )



Spooling- it spools very well considering I have a 91%tc. :D :D :D :D I have my afc tuned for NO SMOKE off the line at wot, and it hits HARD right as it shifts into second when I stomp it from a stop. Then it makes a little puff then immediately clears to an almost invisible haze. With my plate 3/4 forward... ... James Bond smoke screen which boost can't even touch. :cool:



Kurt told me that the smaller housing would have the same temp drop -75 degrees or so.



And as for the FOD damage, I was being way anal when I told Kurt about that. I took the truck to a turbo shop as Kurt told me to, and they said THE FOD DAMAGE IS NOT AN ISSUE. The turbo is fine. An extremely small amount of sand got into the intake and the leading edge of some of the compressor blades got pitted a little. I have better than 20/20 vision and I can't see it from farther than 5 inches away. You can just barely feel the pits with your fingernail.

last dyno you didn't even run... . heck with the dyno, I and everyone at Edge knows I'll beat you..... you short memory???? No one came within 150HP of me with the 41 or so other trucks at Utah dyno days...

I didn't run because my truck was F**KED. It's all better now. :D And I'm not saying you won't beat me, but I will beat you on most hp per dollar. I'm not in the sponsored crowd like you are. No free parts here.

Well guys I finally did it, called Piers today and have an HX40-16 on the way. If it does not slove the problem I can always sell it and move to the next turbo on the list.



By the way, the PDRHX35-12 on my truck is spoken for. I think Dad is going to get it and I will send his HX35 off to Piers for the PDR treatment and that one will be for sale eventually.
 
JR2, I think you'll be happy with the choice, it'll work well for what you want. Personally I think the reason that people complain about the lag with the 40 and the BI is that some do not have enough fuel to spool it up properly. You and I have just enough to warrant the use of the 40. I may even go to supermentals now that I have the room egt wise. I can't get over 1400 with this thing, and that's with the cowl hole on my scotty II blocked. 1300 if I open that up.
 
HVAC - I am and I should get a 150-200 degree drop acording to Piers. I am also planning a trip to see Piers this spring to have a port-n-polish job and maybe a cam shaft put in (if they are ready). This should also help egt and spool up. If it does not I can always sell the HX40 and get a B1.
