and i was gonna do the output shaft but i got scared

Of what? 25 psi launches and smokey burnouts without fear of something breaking?

Congrats on the new transmission... hope it's miles and miles of smiles and that the next time you hook up to a sled or go to the track she treats you just right. Oo.

scared of my belly ache due to lack of food from the fact of the price of all the mods. I'm right at 16K above and beyond the 12 i threw down. I'm moving to the shelter next week lol . If u see a scruffy dude buy my truck don't call the cops it's me under the bridge throw me a sammich please lol

Matt,

Hope that you like the one you got and sorry that it wasn't mine. I will look for you when we have another dyno day. We had a big D-max at our last one and he had big stuff. Now we can't have that!

It was good to try to help you. Is the FASS doing OK?

I went 1200 miles one way to get my last DTT. This was towing it also. I love my DTT's. One shifts hard the other shifts smooth. Just tell them how you want it.

I might add too that when my 01 went to DTT for it's trans It had other problems too. Computer problems and a broken wire in the harness. So after they put the new trans in it still didn't work right. They spent hours looking for the problem and fixing it. This was all with no complaints and no extra change. They just did it becouse it needed doing. :D

Now now, no reason to start that stuff... us Wolf-pack fella's have been pretty quiet and respectful of his final decision... no reason to start talkin' about how much better you think the product is, cause we all know that ain't true :-laf Oo. :-laf

if you are not going to get to crazy with hp get a transgo shift kit an ats converter put in a billet input shaft bring clutches to machine shop have them turn down to get extra clutches in the packs and you can save cash. it will hold unless you are a serious dragster or sled puller. $500 re and re the transmission machine shop $150 extra clutche packs $cheap new converter $1200 billet input $700 $2000-2200 installed.

thats what i would do. this will hold what you got but i am no transmission expert so this could be bad info and i realize while not be the equiv to the 4k transmission its 2k cheaper and will more than likely work.

CATCRACKER,

If you add up the $ figures that you listed that would put your total at $2550 assuming that after your get the parts and the re&re done, the builder would assemble the trans free, give you the shift kit free, and re-use all the old gaskets, seals, and bushings.

MacDaddy,

Did you use a Ford 3disk, square tabbed TC, that is factory equipment for them? :) Although I wouldn't call them bulletproof, I replace them all the time. :D

I think you will be happy with your choice. I put 40,000 miles on mine, plenty of sled hooks, and enough burnouts and launches to run 12. 9 at 104 all with 550 horse, and using it as a daily driver. All in one year. If thats not enough I also pull a gooseneck waaay over gross with it. Not bragging, just saying what more could ya want?

Congratulations on your purchase of the ATS Transmission!

I have their ATS TripleLok Stage V's in both my 1996 Dodge CTD

and my newer 2002 Dodge CTD. The ATS transmission in my 96'

now has over 85,000 troublefree, hard miles on it with well over

sixty (60) drag race launches! The ATS unit in the 2002 now has

a little over 50,000 miles on it, same situation as the 96' unit,

no problems at all. Clint and Ranee Cannon and their entire

crew there in Denver are great people to deal with and the

customer service is excellent!

Good choice "Moolie!" Take care.

dtt is a great transmission.

Ats is a great transmission.

when you buy compare apples to apples find out what is done to each transmission see who has the best warranty. Ask who pays shipping with warranty items. Ask all of the questions. Dont get me wrong from my previous post i am not loyal to anyone just cause i got ats means nothing. The latest trannies from DTT and ATS are getting better and better.

decision made results in

well i drove the level 5 for the first time finally yesterday. Wow it's nice and the guys at ats are great, very good people, not just as far as the vehicle but a good group of folks overall. From clint all the way down through the ranks i was very impressed with their willingness to help me with other problems that weren't even their concern. I love the way the truck drives now, it's amazing i never thought it was gonna be this good. I am just waiting on the new cartridge for the killer b from paul and then i can't wait to see how this thing runs. I can finally lay down some major tread even with the bad turbo cartridge. Smoke the tires like it was a manual transmission too, the cartridge should be here monday i was hoping for today but worst case scenario is monday. But back to the transmission and they guys there, i am more then happy with the service, the overall good nature of the people there and also the finished product. I am lucky to live so close to the home shop and i can't wait to see the new store when it opens. Thanks guys

Congratulations!!! I have been driving with ATS for over three years now and am very satisfied with my choice. I can't say enough good things about the quality of people Clint has working with him too. Great people great product. Enjoy the ride.

I went with DTT because it seems like so many other people here have done it and had nothing but good things to say about them... . I spoke w/ Stefan and he seemed really knowledgeable and helpful. I look forward to getting the Dtt 89 TC , Tru Cool transmission cooler, and Shift kit from them... . I'll let you know how I like it when I get ity and have it put in the truck (May be awhile since I am trying to get some baseine info on the truck and the holidays are almost here).
