Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Who has a sells a GOOD TRANSMISSION ?

i'm sure u'll find some great information if you'll just take 1 to 2 hours and search through the forum.



When you find a particular brand you're interested in make the call see what kind of customer service they have, warranty, product line, tech support. Run each salesman through the woodwork the way you would do a car salesman.



Search option on this site is very useful, use it to your advantage.

DTT all the way. I have a full DTT in my truck. At the end of the month I am also getting a full DTT in the wife 3500. Awsome customer service. Just call and talk to them to see.

Very very bad subject. At the sme time it's a very good question. As others have said, do a search. This topic always gets out of hand



IMHO, if I were going to run an auto, it would have to be a DTT. Their customer service takes a back seat to nobody

ATS is my personel choice. I'm really hard on my truck but after two years my transmission runs like new. They're all good trannys just do research and pick what suits you best.

Well I'll pipe in now... . Gorends. After riding in a few trucks with them, and being amaized at how SMOOTHLY they put the power to the ground, They are my choice as soon as my tax return comes in. I'm not happy with my Suncoast stuff.

You can not beat the ATS Transmission, it comes with updated internals and their valve body for $1895. 00. That price is cheaper then most stock rebuilds or cheaper then you can have yours rebuilt to stock specs. Think About it.

Blumenthal is an ATS dealer.

I went with ATS 2 years ago, and it is the best thing I ever did to my truck.

40,000 miles later it runs great! Not a single problem.

I wasn't sure what Cougar was looking for, his first post didn't specify and he never came back on to clarify. Then everybody began to post for automatics and Jhurst posted about Blumenthals. I happened to know that Blumenthals is an ATS Installer, so I posted it.

TST in Columbus Indiana is an ATS installer.

Also Bedels Transmission in Seymour Indiana is an ATS dealer/installer (along with full transmission shop).



Both are good places.

My ATS transmission is still doing well. Still on the factory flexplate, input and output shafts which certain people said would break. After 65,000 miles of daily abuse, and monthly drag races with 4x4 launches it would appear that the skeptics were wrong.



It all comes down to what you like.
