Who has an awesome Theft Deterrent

I have a 2004. 5, I have a killswitch on it to kill the starter but I still want more, as seeing that these trucks values are declining quickly. I know 4 people out in CA. that have had similar trucks stolen and they get shafted by the insurance company for lower than low Kelly Blue Book or NADA and these guys had tons invested in their trucks. Had receipts and all, did not matter, still got low *** blue book. So I don't feel like losing my investment to some thief. The majority of these trucks get stolen and brought to Mexico where they become dismantled. #@$%!

get a quality alarm with a GPS feature... not "lojack", but something where YOU can track the vehicle online!!!! I like Clifford's higher end alarms, and I used the VIPER GPS setup.

my train horn will let me know, and scare the crap out of them. I also have a disconnect for the head lights. (for the plow, but it works)



A blood hungry pitbull that sleeps under the truck at night might work too. lol

Ravelco Anti Theft Device

I had this installed over a year ago so that when I drive to the city, I don't have to worry about my truck being stolen. It seems to work extremely well and exactly as adverstised-- remove the plug, and the truck won't start. Can't be hot wired either. Very professional installation. I am still going to install some jimmy jammers on all 4 doors to try to keep thieves out of the cab.

I have a stater disco in place and am considering a hidden fuel cut off and maybe line lock to be able to lock all 4 wheels... . won't stop a well equipped and determined thief, but may at least slow them up!

I put those in after someone broke in the truck and stole my stereo and all my tools... They same like they would work against the style of entry that was used on my truck.

well... I guess they would be "like" repo guys... and I guess when people see them hooking up and draging your truck off, they'll think it's a repo guy and not call the police to report it.

I think that says it all tomeygun! I have the same anti theft device in my truck (german shorthair). I know he saved my truck one day when I came out of a fuel stop and saw the rubber around the driver's window pulled out. Don't mind his fuel bill and is easy to install!

I have the Ravelco and it works as advertised. Here in New Mexico the most common method of theft is with a flatbed. A truck can be yanked in less than a minute with a competent thief at the controls. #@$%! An additional measure of protection is to always park nose in, turn the wheels to full lock and shut her down. Not quite full lock as mine jerks pretty hard when shut down. It is much harder to load a truck when it won't pull straight. Even harder to accomplish with vehicles on each side.

GPS alarm with a level trigger will call your cell phone as soon as the alarm is triggered! If you're close enough, you can run out. Otherwise you can begin REAL TIME tracking online and tell the police where your vehicle is

I thought most/all recent Dodges have a factory anti-theft key.

In any case, you can't stop people from towing your rig but it's not common.

Any easy or better tricks that I can do. I have wired a killswitch but would still want something more, thought about pulling the fuse that controls the fuel relay- but popping the hood all the time to remove it and put it in everytime would be a pain. Helpful suggestions but the Revelco thing seems just like how my killswitch works. Any easy, cheap ideas. I have a chrome bug guard and running board tube steps all like brand new if you can help me or give me any ideas, just come pick it up. Thanks.

Most new Dodge Trucks have the anti-theft key. My understanding is that the bad guys can use a readily available scanner to catch the wireless frequency and defeat the system. The bad guys will aways keep up! If they want your truck it is gone! I try to make if a little harder or inconvenient to steal.



Here in NM the Fords are prime targets and unfortunately we have one of the Nations highest rates of theft.



The benefit of the Ravelco is a variety of systems are disabled and tied to one removable plug. Downside - Don't lose the plug. No, I am not a Ravelco dealer or such. Pleased with the system.

My deterrent - an empty cab, empty bed, and $4. 75/gallon fuel.

One of these days I need a kill switch on the fuel pump.

Try $5. 29/gl at a 76 station here in Sacramento. I do have Ravelco and the OEM Sentry system but I feel I need more. I park my truck in my driveway covered as it is too long for my garage. Well the other day some low life took my $360 truck cover.

"THIS VEHICLE IS PROTECTED BY A RATTLESNAKE WITH AIDS".
