Priorities all screwed up !

Let's see, barn full of trailers, boat, mowers and other equipment. Tractor, saddles and GD bicycles in my side of garage. Truck parked outside and plugged into life support.

Next house were getting the priorities right. BIG garage, maybe one of though big ones that come as a separate building with a "Office" and a bathroom with a pull out couch so I will have some place to sleep with my dog's when she gets mad at me. :-laf A man needs his own space Oo.

size does matter

When we built our house, I wanted a "larger than normal" garage. I'd been in the typical 20x20 garages and they seemed too small for a truck. Ours is 24x24 and it would be almost too small for a QC-long box. My QC-short box has about 3-4 feet in front when I leave 6 inches at the rear. It is wide enough I think, but if you had a long box, you might want a few more feet in length.

I put 8x9 doors in and wish I put 8x10's so I would not have to fold the mirror in to pull in. I don't HAVE to fold the mirror, but if I'm not REAL careful, battle damage will occur!!

Just my opinion and that don't count for much.

My 95 & 02 both have block heaters on them. It's standard on the Cummins. If you don't have it I would be going back to the dealer to have it installed free of charge. Jeff

OOPS!

Feeling a bit silly here, dangest thing... found it right where KL told me to look. Worse yet, I've been wondering about this for about three weeks now...

:--)

I keep mine in my big shed (77' X 144') (Which I offered to clubbers needing to fix their trucks, filled out the forms twice, and I am still not listed!!)Oo.

it fits

My 2001 2500 QC 4x4 fitts, with my wife rice burner CRV next to it. Have room infront of my truck to fit my snowblower, tool cart and a set of old highschool lockers for storage ( the rest goes on the wifes side) Have all my ladders on my side wall and misc stuff on my side too. My garage is 21ft deep and think the dodge is 18ft long. Gotta take the hitch out of the receiver though for the door to shut.

Even though I how park my CTD in the garage all of the time I still was plugging it in (seemed, cold out there). Decided yesterday to check the temp in the garage. Well this morning it was 10 degrees outside and 60 degrees in the garage  So much for needing to plug it in  Figure even if it gets to the single digits outside it will still be 50+ in the garage. So that means that parking in the garage saves me at least $15 per month on electric power. How I need to convince my wife that this found money should be spent on the CTD ;)

Truck sits out side at home, garage is to full, but is sits in a truck bay at work (heated with room to wash (3 times a week) and wax (once a month).

We have a double garage, but with two single garage doors. I have to swing my driver's mirror in and then I only have maybe 3 inches on each side of the mirrors going through the door. I usually put the front bumper about 2 inches from the wall and then the feeler gauge misses the door by about 6 inches.

I wish I had a usable garage. I want to build a pole barn for the 5'ver. That would have the advantage of filling over most of my weeds. . uh I mean grass, with concrete. Very little mowing to do. No matter what I do, I will never have a garage as long as I live where I do. :(

I keep My 98 2500 CTD 4x4 CC SB, My Wifes 97 1500 4x4 CC SB and My 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO along with about 20k in tools in the garage.

Now I need room a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700 ,A Polaris Preditor 500 and a 1998 Kawasaki KLR650. . :(

Doug.
