my question is if turbo surge kills turbos and a blow-off valve fixes this why arent they offered for our trucks/turbos?? are they?:confused:

BD sells a blow off valve for the Cummins. It really for the manual guys to help when shifting. It actually works pretty well.



Not all turbo surge can be corrected with a blow off valve. The kind that happens when you lift to quickly can, but the kind that happens under a steady throttle condition can't.

the tial ones i saw had a max boost press of 35psi ! at 45+ that seems like a problem . i'll check with bd . does anyone know why diesels surge off throttle if theres no butterfly valve??
 
poole shows them on thier twins as waste gate actuators i'd like to use as intake vent . any ideas? thanks for interest. :)
