Drop in Fiver Hitch

I installed a hidden 30K GN hitch. Pull the lever under the L/wheel well and the ball pops up, remove ball and drop in the fiver hitch. Locks in just like the GN ball.

What I like about my fiver hitch is that it grips like a hand, wrapping around the fiver pin and allowing no play. Also, it is not that heavy. I can easily lift it.

My bed is clean. When I park my RV, I raise the entire fiver hitch out of the bed and store it under the RV. Locked onto my RV since that is the only trailer that uses a fiver hitch.

I agree with SSage, Why even order 5th wheel when specing your trailer out?. I would just order the gooseneck trailer . and not do any adapting. . I see no need to use a 5th wheel and the guys that say the 5th wheel in a travel trailer will w fit a semi tractor. . well yes the pin will fit. . but most semis have a further forward pin location, so a average tandem axel semi could not just back under you 5th wheel travel trailer and tow it. . a custom single axle toter with a 5th wheel yes . . but a tandem or normal semi no. . plus just backing or driving into some camps its is a strain on the 5th wheel . . i'd rather have the pivot ability the n torquing my trucks frame etc. . he driving or turning onto some roads from driveways is tough. . more articulation the better. I have only been to the midwest once and flat is flat. I guess it doesn't matter then but in the east here we have hills and steep turns every where ... plus if you camping its normally in the boonies, in the ruff and off some dirt road some where where you have to drive or back over a drainage ditch or something to park and level. . unless its only a fair ground camper, etc etc. . same argrument for the 4x4 vs 4x2 guys . . 4x4 in my book , for having the 4low to back up . . and not get stuck with wet grass and mud on level ground. .

Merry christmas,

Later
