I have the Pace-Edwards Powergate, have had it for a couple of years with no problems. I saw the model offered at Geno's and it looks like the same one I have, probably a re-package deal. Anyway it is a good product and it works great.
I put a hose clamp on the end of the tailgate hinge that lifts out. Screwed it down pretty tight. Hopefully it will slow down the turds that steal stuff.

Been there done that, it's a great deterrent. When you put the hose clamp on, face the head of the clamp screw toward the bed of the truck as far forward as possible and use a racheting box end wrench to tighten, just an added obstacle for the criminals that get their replacement tail-gates from Wal Mart :{ and other places that don't actually sell them.
