I finally got around to beginning the bombing. I have(had) a Cal. motor so this weekend I got rid of the e. g. r. manifold and replaced it with 48 state manifold. I also slid the stock plate all the way forward and turned the star wheel 20 clicks toward the engine(still no smoke so I guess I can go more).
Now my question, there is a good deal on diamond b 370 injectors right now. Will they work in an otherwise stock motor or is it too much injector. I am eventually planning to put in a #6 TST plate, but since the injectors are cheap right now I thought I might do them first.
That will probably be as far as I go on bombing(plate & injectors),do these two choices sound like a good match. I don't want to have to run the crap out of my motor to make power, trying to stay around 2500-2800 max. rpm.

Save some money to beef up that drivetrain. 370s and a good plate will get you to 350+hp and 800+lbs of torque real easy. John P's truck, which has the same mods mine does, except I don't have the gov. spring kit, dyno'd at 381hp/1069lbs of torque. Yep, a stock drivetrain will cry uncle when you give it a little 370s/TST#5 mix.

Sounds like a bomber in the making #ad
! You need to invest in guages before you go too far. Good luck with your warmed over CA engine. The 370's worked good in mine and I just ordered a set of larger delivery valves too. When the bombing bug gets you it's tough. #ad

dieselburner,
You have the play truck I am looking for. Already bombed too. What is the hp/torque rating of the TST#4 plate?

Still looking for a '98 2500QC 5 spd in Hawaii.

i forgot to include my signature the first time so here it is.
Hey KOA MAN,how do you like the Dunrite converter,I know I'll have to beef up the transmission and my funds run low so I want to get the best I can in my budget. I heard DTT has one of the best but it is a little out of my price range. If I can find one almost as good for less it would help.

KOA MAN,

I'm also curious how happy you are with your transmission upgrades? I'm in the same boat. DTT seem to be the way to go but the price is up there.
