Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) will not crank

Well, today I jumped in the truck and turn the switch and the engine just spun over. It did not fire up, Tried it again and it just turns over... . well I got out to check to see if some of the guys might have unpluged my fuel cutoff sil. and it was connected. I got back in the truck and it started fine and has been all day. I did clean the cables real good today after this problem, I just wish I knew what caused it so I can make sure it never happens again, I have 68,000 miles on it. Any suggestions???

check the blue wire on the driver-side battery. Its the power wire to the fuseable link for the shutoff soleniod relays.



Manually pulled up my solenoid for about a month, bought the new relay after 2 weeks, and was just about to buy a brand new solenoid from Piers when one last effort on a search of the archives came up with the blue wire.



Sure enough went out to the truck and with just a small gentle tug the wire came right off of the terminal!! Put a new crimp on battery connector on it and haven't had any problems since!!Oo.
