hi guys, my windshield wipers will not stop down where they should they stop

somewhere in my view and i have to fool with the switch to get them to go down, can i fix this or do i need a new assembly? thanks

When the switch is turned off the wiper motor will continue to run to the home position. Your motor is not getting that run after 12v which is feed by fuse #8 located in the junction block. It is 25A.

open drivers door and look at the side of the dash. You will see the fuse door snap it open and there is the fuses. The other sit of fuses is located drivers side engine bay rear top of wheel well. I think the one they are talking about is the one in the in the side of the dash.

The one under the hood is known as the PDC (power distribution center). The "junction block" came right from the schematic in the FSM (factory service manual), I should have called it the fuse block or panel.

I had the same problem on my regal one winter after a recent snow. Snow got down int the crowl and caused condensation to form in the wiper motor causing the motor to think home was in the middle of the windshield. To fix it I use a hair dryer to dry out the condensation in the motor. This allowed the motor to stop at the right home position.
