Got a new truck ordered and am getting the factory trailer wiring package. 2 questions come immediatelu to mind.

First. Clearance light wiring. Does it run thru a relay or is it directly wired into the truck lights?



Second. the lead that feeds 12v power to the trailer. Does it come directly off the battery and is hot all the time or is there a relay in thes circuit?



These don't seem like tha kind of things the salesman would know.

Don't know answer #1 . Answer to # 2 is its hot all the time.

The 12 volt and the clearance/marker lamps are both fed by the same 40 amp circuit (fuse 8 in PDC).



The 12 volt is a direct feed and the lamps are switched with a relay.
