Hi Folks:
I need a little help. I've been checking the 96 manual on the wiring and have gotten a little confused. I understand the codes, all except the A4--A14--etc. It has something to do with apart of the circuit but I don't know what. I'm going to wire my gauges, custom backup lights,CB,and other items and fill as though I need to understand the codes before I start. I want to us the correct fuse and wire. This truck will be mine till he!! freezes.
Thanks
Preston

Preston, the A wires are battery feed wires, the number after identifies which part of the main circuit, next number is the wire gauge, last is the wire color.
They use most all the letters A-Z for different circuits,E is for dimming circuits,G is for gauge circuits,Z is for grounds and so on.
Find all this in General Info-Wiring Diagrams, page 8W-01-1 in manual('95,your's is probibly the same page #)

Be careful before you cut,the manual isn't always right. I found that the door lock wire colors on my rig were wrong. In the back of the manual there are several pages you can fill out to report wrong info in the manual,I sent one in on this color problem and they wrote back they were aware of it and had corrected for later editions.

Here's some wiring info I found helpful
