Need Advice: Towing I-70 westbound out of Denver

Here in Denver I think it is Thursdays they have a very large auto auction on the north end of town. And you will see multiple multi car tows like that heading south on I-25. I forget what they call it but it is something along the lines of the Mexican car express or something like that. All headed to Mexico. It is not uncommon for me to see them pulled off on the side of the freeway adjusting something or other since they have been on the freeway for 20 or 30 miles and they have some sort of issue. Sometimes it is really funny or sad to see a Honda Accord flat towing a mini van or something like that. They are split abut 60/40 pulling one other vehicle or two flat towed. It is very rarely a truck leading the pack it is normally a small or midsize sedan and if it is a truck it usually an old beat up mini truck. I saw one a couple weeks ago a Chevy LUV was pulling two, didnt know there were any chevy luv's still running much less flat towing two vehicles he was chugging along about 45 on the freeway. My guess is it didn't make it all the way to Mexico. Raton pass probably took it out.

You do realize he is a full-timer and he needs all his toy's.

One question I have is what is the tow rating on his Class A hitch?

Likely 10Klbs rating. What's sad is there is a legal solution I've seen a few times... a stackable trailer where boat is on top and vehicle on the bottom.

Only thing else I see with this solution is possible height issues.

A wise man once told me go ahead and try............. just wait until you have to stop it!! We were talking to a co-worker who was planning on pulling a 30'+ Sea-Ray Cabin Cruiser home with his 99 F-150 std cab. I think the boat weight alone was 2X heavier and 2x longer that the truck drippping wet.

Our 1990 Sea-Ray 270(later called a 290) Weighed 9K and the trailer was 1500-2000 pounds. Towed in with a 1976 K20 Chevy and then the 1993 RAM, it was a load and a half for both of them.
